Lily and Cary, two 18-year-olds who had been friends since childhood, were excited about their upcoming college adventure. After graduating from high school, they had decided to share a room in the university dormitory. As they settled into their new home, they couldn’t help but feel a surge of emotions.
The room, although larger than their old childhood bedrooms, reminded them of the times when they were kids. It had two separate single beds, a small study area, and shelves with books and mementos. Lily and Cary looked around and smiled, reminiscing about the games and mischief of their childhood.
Lily, with her chestnut hair and hazel eyes, lay down on one of the beds and laughed. “Do you remember when we used to jump on the bed at my grandma’s house? It was like we could touch the sky.”
Cary, with her blonde hair and blue eyes, joined in the laughter. “Oh, yes! We couldn’t resist the temptation to jump and laugh until our giggles filled the room.”
Both girls looked at each other with nostalgia. Those moments of childhood had been magical, full of joy and camaraderie. Even though they had grown up, they were still the same inseparable friends who shared secrets and dreams.
Cary climbed onto Lily’s bed, and soon they were jumping just like they did when they were kids. Laughter filled the room, and for a moment, it seemed like time had stood still. They remembered the afternoons when they invented stories in their minds, turning the bed into a pirate ship or a magic carpet that took them to distant lands.
After a while, they stopped, breathless and happy. Lily looked at Cary with affection. “Those were the days, right? Carefree kids, just having fun.”
Cary nodded. “Yes, and even though we’ve grown and face new challenges, we’ll always be the same friends who were there for each other.”
Lily snuggled into her bed, and Cary joined her. They reminisced about high school stories, their first loves, and the adventures they had shared. There was something comforting in knowing that they were together in this new chapter of their lives, facing college and all the opportunities that awaited them.
As the afternoon progressed, they relaxed in their beds, talking about dreams and goals for the future. They knew that college held challenges and new experiences, but they were ready to face them together.
The dorm room was filled with the glow of Lily and Cary‘s friendship, a bond that had remained strong over the years. Despite the changes and challenges that life would bring, they knew they would always have a special place in each other’s hearts.
As the sun set, Lily and Cary drifted into a sleep full of expectations and excitement for the future. They would wake up at dawn to face college and all the adventures that awaited them, secure in the knowledge that their friendship would endure, no matter the distances or time.
